Resto Bar

The project is located on a strategically positioned lot in the municipality of Sant’Onofrio, in the province of Vibo Valentia in the beautiful Tyrrhenian region of Calabria.

On a 1,000-square-meter site, a restaurant building with various functional areas was designed according to the client’s specific requests to best meet the needs of the clientele. The building, with a total area of 610 square meters, is arranged over two levels and is organized according to a 3x3 compositional grid that creates a play of solid and void spaces, structuring the volume both externally and internally.

A double-height corner glass volume serves as a pivot between the monolithic blocks, accentuating the cascade of natural light.

This interplay of volumes is also evident vertically, creating not only interesting perspectives but also functional spaces such as the outdoor terrace on the first floor, which serves as a true relaxation area.

The ground floor features two main areas: the interior space dedicated to self-service dining and bar service, while the surrounding area is characterized by various seating arrangements that, in turn, define an interior garden protected by continuous curtain wall glazing.

An imposing, fully exposed staircase near the main entrance and the waiting area leads to the upper floor, where a large multipurpose space combining dining and lounge areas is located.

The interior design aimed to create an environment that is both relaxing and sophisticated. Thanks to the skillful use of materials, combined with the natural light that elegantly flows through the space, the atmosphere created offers a pleasant sense of beauty.

The wood of the parquet flooring is further defined and highlighted by white resin paths that, in turn, delineate the functional areas.

The abstract white interior walls, with a few touches of color in specific spots, and the recessed lighting fixtures ensure that the focus of the space lies in the harmony created between the finishing materials and the furnishings.

The interior garden, on the other hand, is characterized by a continuous block clad in exposed brick, further highlighted by LED strips that emphasize the texture of the material.

The furniture concept consists of a meticulous design by MGAD DESIGN. This project features products from the Dining Line, such as the elegant Cantor sets—with a steel frame and colored tops for indoor use—and the Russel products made of plywood for the garden areas; on the terrace, the Living Line is represented by an outdoor sofa. All other built-in furniture was custom-designed.
